The inaugural edition of “Confluence: A Festival of India” last year was truly a coming together of two cultures with an artistic extravaganza covering the gamut of India’s cultural diversity, both classical and contemporary. The Festival covered 7 cities over 86 days, involving 162 performers, garnering 91,500 footfalls in 71 events across 39 iconic venues.

In 2017, we will present a diverse range of performances and shows straddling the classical, the folk, the contemporary in dance, music, theatre, cinema, literature, and puppetry.

Cultural diplomacy is essentially the strengthening of bilateral relationships between two nations through collaborative artistic bonds and mutual appreciation of cultural mores, and through Confluence, we hope to reinforce the everlasting Indo-Australian partnership through the invigorating canvas of the arts.
